Privacy policy

The short version: we collect what you type into our forms and what you tell us by email or phone, and we use it to answer you and do the work. We don't sell it, we don't run analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time.

This website, seobark.com, is run by Seo Bark Solutions LLC, a New York limited liability company that trades as SEOBark. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Seo Bark Solutions LLC.

It covers personal information we collect through this website, through email and phone conversations with us, and while we work for clients. It doesn't cover other websites, including ones we link to, or the websites and accounts of our clients.

When you request a free SEO audit, we collect what you enter in the form: your website address, type of business, the platform your site runs on, what you want from search, the searches you care about, where your customers are, where your site is now, your name, your email address, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number and company name.

When you use the contact form, we collect the topic you choose, the plan or site size if you pick one, your website address if you add it, your name, your email address, your phone number if you add it, and your message.

When you email or call us, we keep what you send or tell us, along with your email address or phone number.

When you visit the site, our hosting server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. When you submit a form, we also check a scrambled, one-way version of your IP address to limit spam.

When you become a client, we also keep contact details for the people we work with on your side, the proposal and invoices, and the information we see while working in your website and accounts, such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile and Google Ads.

We don't ask for sensitive information, such as health or financial details, through this website. Please don't send passwords or other sensitive information through our forms. If we need access to an account, we'll ask for it to be granted to us properly, not for your password.

  • To reply to your request or message.
  • To prepare and send your free audit. After the audit we send at most one follow-up email, and it may mention our paid services. You can ignore it or tell us no.
  • If you give us a phone number, to call or text you about your request only.
  • To write proposals and, if you become a client, to do the work, report on it and invoice for it.
  • To keep this website secure and to block spam and abuse of our forms.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We don't add you to a mailing list and we don't send newsletters.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share it only where we need to:

  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as our website hosting provider, our email provider and our invoicing or accounting service. They handle information on our behalf and only to provide their service to us.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer, when needed.
  • When the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
  • If the business changes hands, the information may pass to the new owner, who would have to treat it in line with this policy.

This website doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it doesn't load third-party tracking scripts. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page doesn't send your details to a font service. If the site ever sets a cookie, it will only be one the site technically needs to work.

If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy first.

  • Free audit requests and contact messages from people who don't become clients: deleted after 12 months.
  • Spam and abuse logs, which store a scrambled version of your IP address: deleted within 30 days.
  • Client records, including proposals and invoices: kept for 7 years, because tax and accounting rules require it.
  • Hosting server logs: kept for the short period set by our hosting provider.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner. We will, unless we have to keep something by law, for example an invoice.

The website runs over an encrypted connection, form submissions are checked before anything is stored or sent, and access to our email and records is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that information will never be accessed without permission. If something goes wrong and it affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you,
  • correct it, or
  • delete it.

Email support@seobark.com from the address you used with us, or tell us which address that was. We may need to confirm it's really you before acting. We reply within 45 days, and we use the same process for everyone, wherever you live.

Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Because this website doesn't sell or share personal information for advertising and doesn't track you across sites, there's nothing for these signals to switch off here.

This website and our services are for businesses. They're not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

We're based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States.

Our pages link to other sites, such as Google's documentation. We don't control those sites, and this policy doesn't apply to them.

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll also say what changed at the top of the page for a while.
